If you can travel about 70-85 miles to a Microcenter around Cleveland, OH, get some parts from there.

You can install Windows XP and/or Ubuntu on it until you can afford Windows 7/8. If your friend is not a gamer, don't buy, or downgrade the GPU and use that money to get the OS.

By the way, these prices do not include rebates, so if you like using rebates, you're looking at maybe $550 in total.

In my opinion, the motherboard's main point isn't the USB 3.0 header, it's the 4 RAM slots that comes with the motherboard. Also, if you really wanted front USB 3.0 ports, you can invest in a more expensive case.

Also, there are 2 USB 3.0 ports on the rear anyway.

???

I was talking about the motherboard's 4 RAM slots... You asked why I picked a case with no USB 3.0 support if the motherboard supports it, and I responded by saying I chose the motherboard not because of the USB 3.0 headers, but because it was one of the only mATX motherboards with 4 DDR3 slots.

Why are you attacking me anyway? It's okay if you want to know why I chose certain parts, but you don't have to say, "You're an idiot for picking this, pick this instead." Also, if you are going to attack someone, do it properly, or at least, learn English. I wasn't talking about the case, so the phrase, "dear Santa. I want this case because it haves 4 ram slots. that's why" is completely irrelevant to what I said in my previous post.

You said, "dear Santa. I want this case because it haves 4 ram slots. that's why" to make me look like an idiot. You were imitating me by making me look like I believe a case has a certain amount of RAM slots in it. You didn't say it directly, but you clearly implied it.

Why?

The board doesn't support cf or sli anyway

Or... are you thinking that it's overkill?
