SSD help

xephoneration

So I am finishing up upgrading my PC. I just bought a 1070 and I am looking to upgrade my storage. I am torn between the Patriot Hellfire 240gb m.2 and the samsung 850 evo 500gb

This really should not be hard since they are pretty much the same price and the 850 would be a no brainier to go with. though im looking at the different speeds of both and the, please correct me if I am wrong, the patriot is faster. Anyways my budget is $150 I am looking for a SSD or an NVME or both, to put my OS and some of my most played games on.

Computer specs are in the description if you are curious I need to update it since I now have 24gb of DDR4 ram

If you have a lot of games/programs that you want to put on the ssd then the 850 evo 500gb. would be the best choice. But if you only want to put your OS and a couple of games, then the Patriot would be a better upgrade.

If you want M.2, I'd get MX300 525GB. Great controller that scales well with deep queues like the 850 EVO but gives more for the money.

750GB 2.5" is 170 and the 525GB M.2 is 125. @xephoneration

I would go for more space over the m.2

I'm just a random teenager from New Jersey. Why would you listen to me?
