All of these are great units, you cannot go wrong with any of these, 450W should be enough. Look their warranties, if it is Semi, fully or not modular and what connector they have and what you need or want.

Hi Everyone,

I posted a thread about not having an 8 pin PCIe connector (or 2 6 pin connectors) to power my new EVGA 1060. I ended up getting a 2 molex to 6 pin PCIe (as suggested by someone) and it works. However nearly every response suggested I get a better PSU ASAP. After searching the internet, I am still very lost, and getting mixed messages.

Could someone please recommend a decent PSU for preferably under $100 AUD (I am a student so a bit limited in the money). Noise is not an issue, I don't really care too much about that. I will need either at least 2 PCIe 6 pin (or an 8 pin)

Full System Specs:

Spoiler

Cooler Master K280 Mid-Tower Case

Intel Core i5 4460 Quad Core LGA 1150 3.2GHz CPU Processor

ASRock Z97 Pro4 Intel LGA 1150 ATX Motherboard

G.SKILL RipjawsX 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz Desktop Memory F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

Western Digital WD10EZEX WD 1TB Blue 3.5” 7200RPM SATA3 Hard Drive

Samsung EVO 750 250gb SSD < still have to purchase this

Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 Pro 120mm Case Fan

Nvidia GTX 1060 EVGA FTW+

Current PSU

The intend to upgrade my CPU next year at some point to the i7 6700K, so including that it totals to about 350W.

Cheers, Brad

Thank you everyone, I will look more in depth at all the responses, but that narrows it down a bunch, thanks for all your responses.

I am probably going to get the XFX TS Series Pro 550W Power Supply Power Supply as many of you suggested it and it looks decent.

Thank you all a bunch :D
