What is a 'Super Moderator'?

A number of years ago, I was appointed the "super moderator" position on several car club forums I used to be part of. I could make decisions above the mods, but didn't have the full authority or capabilities of an admin. There was only one, IIRC and it was kind of pointless because not too long after they just bumped me up to admin. lol

I'm not sure if there has ever been one, but the only ones that would qualify would be Wind and Whaler, which iirc, have the last (and only) word (asside from admins) when it comes to more important stuff, like appointing new mods. 

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

They are admins, so even if we had appointed super mods, they would still be above them! xD
