i5 6600k PC Recommendations

Zeinone

Hi LTT!

I'm looking to build a decent overclockable pc with the i5 6600k (i don't need the extra horsepower of the i7 6700k so don't tell me that), anyway I need you guys to help me make a decent build. I've seen a lot of builds in my local shops but they all need something, and usually the PSU is the issue (I don't want my build to catch on fire while overclocking), so I'll build one myself part by part.

ATM I'm looking at the i5 6600k, and the GTX 1060 6GB card (probs the Gigabyte one), but I don't know what else to put in my build at the lowest budget possible.

So can you guys try to give me some build with the price between 800-1000$, while trying to keep it as low as possible, and thanks in advance!

does that 800-1000 range include the CPU? because if not, you could get a godly PC with that cash.

For gaming you don't really need a overclockable 6600k. A 6500 would be cheaper and better suit your need as most games will use more GPU power than CPU. But I will see what I come up with

Snip

Excellent black/white build falling exactly at the $1000 dollar mark. If you don't care about aesthetics you could certainly get cheaper, but I'm sure someone else will link a suitable build for that: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/xYfWr7
