Silent and relatively cheap case fan.

jamesfindlay3

Hello, I am looking for some new case fans preferably 140mm (i think this is best correct me if I'm wrong) what would you say to be the best priced and most reliable silent oriented case fan. It Is for a micro ATX case and I don't want to be spending too much money. What would your suggestions be, at the moment I am thinking be-quiet but they don't have the best reviews and are a bit pricey. Thanks!

is there a reason why you need anouter fan?

normally the fans included enough are fine, esp if your on a budget

The case i am getting only comes with the one fan and i don't think this will be sufficient plus it needs to be quiet as i live in a busy household and the people around me hate too much noise.

Yeah nice and clean case i put it down as a maybe, thanks!

Not the Define R3 Case, the Silent Series R3 fan :P

Some companies that I know make great, cheap fans are Phanteks, Fractal Design and CRYORIG. I have personal experience with the CRYORIG XF140 (140mm airflow-optimised fan) as I have one strapped to my CPU cooler. It's inaudible, and dirt cheap.

Project White Lightning (My ITX Gaming PC): Core i5-4690K | CRYORIG H5 Ultimate | ASUS Maximus VII Impact | HyperX Savage 2x8GB DDR3 | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB | WD Black 1TB | Sapphire RX 480 8GB NITRO+ OC | Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX | Corsair AX760 | LG 29UM67 | CM Storm Quickfire Ultimate | Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum | HyperX Cloud II | Logitech Z333

Benchmark Results: 3DMark Firestrike: 10,528 | SteamVR VR Ready (avg. quality 7.1) | VRMark 7,004 (VR Ready)

Other systems I've built:

Core i3-6100 | CM Hyper 212 EVO | MSI H110M ECO | Corsair Vengeance LPX 1x8GB DDR4  | ADATA SP550 120GB | Seagate 500GB | EVGA ACX 2.0 GTX 1050 Ti | Fractal Design Core 1500 | Corsair CX450M

Core i5-4590 | Intel Stock Cooler | Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI | HyperX Savage 2x4GB DDR3 | Seagate 500GB | Intel Integrated HD Graphics | Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 | be quiet! Pure Power L8 350W

I am not a professional. I am not an expert. I am just a smartass. Don't try and blame me if you break something when acting upon my advice.

I see and yeah i looked at cryorig i will be getting the m9i cpu cooler but i didn't realise they made separate fans haha, thanks. And i'll have a look at those brands and see what looks best. Thanks!

What are your specs and where are you planning to put the fans?

Where are you shopping/located?
