I'm looking for a new laptop. I have about a $1000 budget, prefer to go less, but could go slightly more...maybe. I want the best price/performance, and I dont know what the sweet spot is in laptops.

I need AT LEAST:

8GB of Ram

1920x1080 resolution

Hasewell CPU

some form of an SSD, be it a cache or a main drive.

I do graphic design, video editing, and a lot of gaming. Screen size is irrelevant, but I'd prefer something around 13".

Does anyone have any suggestions or a good place to get a custom configured laptop? Building one wouldn't be a problem, but I don't think it's a possibility. I'm open to anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not even sure if Alienware still sells the M11x.

Clevo designed they have crappy speakers and audio and tend to need cooling pads if gaming (they run hot)
