Thanks ! :)

I'd personally stick with 8.1, though it doesn't matter, the games should run about the same on all three operating systems.

If you are going to buy new software, then I'd just get whatever is cheapest. The games will run almost the same on all three. If you already have licenses for all 3 software and are just trying to decide which to use, I'd use 10, since it will have the longest support.

I'd say from Windows 7 to Windows 10 you'll notice a 2-3% difference...

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I'd go for 10.. Seeing how in the long run you're gonna have to pay for a OS that is actually supported by windows. Windows 7 support is already dropped. Not sure when 8 will be (hopefully not any time soon)

Windows7 exaly has a longer support term then Windows8.

Windows 8 has allready been dropped.

And if im right the official support for Windows8.1 will end in 2017.

Windows7 will still be supported with security rollup patches for a while.

However hardware manufacturers like intel have allready dropped support for Windows7.

Windows 7 is still supported, and is being supported by Microsoft until 2020. And even after that, Windows 7, 8, 10 are all the same OS at the core, and will run the same programs, so long as drivers exist for those OSes for the hardware needed to run the programs.

That says that Windows 7 is supported until 2020.

Hardware manufacturers like Intel have allready dropped support for windows7 indeed yes.

Also Microsoft wont bring application improvement support or drivers from their side either anymore for both Windows 7 and 8.

They will only provide security rollup patches untill the end.

But the Windows7 update manager is allready pretty much broken since June last year.

I still use 7 now, but my next OS wont be Windows anymore.

I dont agree on the directions that MS is heading with Windows.

I want a standalone OS on which i can run the program´s i prever without any interference from the OS.

Nor do i need an OS that is mainly build upon online services.

Since Windows10 and also Windows 8.1 alike are not realy a standalone opererating system anymore.

Its just not for me then, but thats just personal. :).

For gaming you pretty much dont have much choice then to go with Windows10 for future games right now.

Unless Vulkan becomes widley addopted which i realy hope for.

Intel's changed their plan to not support Skylake on Windows 7, and will now provide full support for Skylake on Windows 7 until 2020.

Kaby Lake will probably be just fine on Windows 7, with or without official support. I wouldn't be surprised if Intel changes their stance on Kaby, as well. Windows 7 is still by far the most used OS.

Well yeah if Windows10 keeps loosing market share, then they might indeed rethink their statergy.

You can indeed still install Windows7 on a NVME ssd on Skylake with a littlebit of magic :)

But yeah like i edited my post above.

Unless Vulkan becomes widley adopted which i realy hope for.

Then the world will be more open for other platforms aswell.

The only issue is that Microsoft tries to lock down the gaming platform.

Well, but DX12 is as infant as Vulkan right now. So I'd say you don't need WIndows 10 unless DX12 becomes widely adopted, unless Vulkan also becomes widely adopted, which I really hope for :P
