install the windows 8 / 7 drivers. of whatever you find necessary that does not have a win 10 version, however windows update should automatically pick most up and that's why only the audio driver might be necessary.

you can run windows 10 on that, you have to have a pretty shitty PC to not be able to

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Do you think there will be any performance increase, even a bit?

I don't think it can or neither should I bother upgrading to Windows 10. I'll be selling it in a few months time for a new build next year. Anyway, thank you for your time and the info.

finding drivers will be a pain. I know the board doesn't support w10

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I know. Tried to look for drivers a few weeks back, without any luck.

It wont.  The 8XX series chipsets didn't even support Windows 8.1...  and most vendors never made a Windows 8 version anyways.

Which doesn't matter since it'll run fine on the generic MS drivers, but the best way too look for drivers for more modern windows operating systems on older motherboard is to not use the manufacturers website since you can get windows 10 compatible drivers for the 8 series chipset directly from AMD and everything else can be downloaded from the specific manufacturers.

and doesn't make 8xx Windows 10 drivers. Period. Yea the generic drives might function, but they certainly don't work.

It clearly states there "Supports Windows 10/8.1/7 (32-bit & 64-bit)"

Is there a single 8xx series board that has a driver for Windows 10?  There isn't in fact.

Which is why I clearly stated not to bother going to the motherboard manufacturers website in this case since the company that manufacturers or creates (I clearly don't have a clue what to say) the chipsets will still be releasing drivers well after the motherboard manufacturers have stopped giving a fuck (but then again, how often do motherboard manufacturers update the drivers since I know of one driver on one of my computers that is still out of date even though it has the latest driver from the motherboard manufacturers website).

Regardless, that system is compatible with windows 10 (although I would suggest using actual AMD AHCI drivers from the link I posted previously instead of relying on the generic microsoft AHCI drivers since they might cause a few issues as I've learned) and even if there aren't compatible drivers available for everything there's more then likely going to be a fully functional generic variant included with the OS.

And just so you know, I have windows 10 running on a nine year old computer with no issues (and it loads pretty quickly), and also my laptop which has a 7xx series AMD chipset (it did require the aforementioned AHCI driver to make it work without locking up once or twice a day) which does have some issues but I'm putting that down to not having enough RAM and using a crappy slow mechanical hard drive (both of which will be upgraded if I ever bother to do it).
