The 1070 is better in every way, even without GSYNC

You don't need G-Sync.

but i need adaptive sync i hate stuttering so much (screen tearing has never happened to me because i have a weak system but it looks annoying)

Just get a high refresh rate monitor. At that point any stuttering is just due to drivers or the game optimization. G-Sync and adaptive sync in general don't eliminate stuttering.

Well then get a more powerful GPU that gets more fps....

That's how you fix stuttering.

No: it will pretty much be a less power intensive version of Fiji and a Fury X only equals the 1070 on DX12 games (and on very few surprases it) and it's not as fast on DX11 games.

Vega will have a card at 400 bucks to address the 1070 but I doubt it will be that competitive and you'll be waiting a veeeery long time if the 480 availability is anything to go by.

Gsync does help with stuttering because a sister soon as the next frame is ready it's displaYes rather than waiting for the 60 us to come back round

and the higher ur fps the smoother because th next frame comes quicker

however most of thof time I play on ulmb mode 120hz no vsync and it's that fast I can't see any tearing and is really really smooth

AMD (and proud) r7 1700 4ghz-

also (1600)

asus rog crosshairs vi hero x370-

MSI 980ti G6 1506mhz slix2 -

h110 pull - acer xb270hu 1440p -

 corsair 750D - corsair 16gb 2933

DO you have any source to any of the claims you're making?

Because as far as I can tell, the card isn't here yet, so there is no performance numbers to compare to.

Also...I've been seeing Rx 480 everywhere now....so what the bloody hell are you talking about?
