First ever mITX build, need some help

Timmyethy123

Hello, I've been saving up some money for a while now and I got to the point where I want to spend it on a pc. I saved up to 800 euros (Around 1000 USD) and I thought it would be awesome to have an mITX gaming system. I don't know if its even possible to get it for this price point but I would like to know.

I don't know much about mITX cases and other hardware for it so maybe you guys could help me. I basicly need to game on it(Doesnt have to be like 1600p ultra high graphics 8xAA).

I hope to get some help soon so I can start buying stuff and putting everything together!

Greetings from Holland, Timmyethy123

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131932

then put i i5 or i7 in it.

use a gtx 670 or a 7950 or whatever fits in you budget.

get a 500 watt psu

8gb or more ram

ssd or Hdd for storage

ad use something like a prodigy if you like the look

this will play almost any game

Are there any less expensive motherboards? Or is every good mITX board that expensive?

Since I own a Bitfenix Prodigy I would go bitfenix prodigy I LOVE IT, you have the option of fully water cooling the whole thing as well. GTX 660TI for GPU, CPU i5 3570k psu 600-watt generic (semi-modular is recommended). For the bitfenix as an intel build with nvidia i'd choose the White version (mine is midnight black AMD A10). Heres a build (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JkYh) The motherboard uses an H77 chipset and has built in Wi-Fi for convenience.

Hi, I have the build Socky put up but i have 2133mhz ram but the power supply i went with was the Silverstone strider SFX 450w gold.

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/silverstone-power-supply-st45sfg

But i am not doing watercooling at all. Also note that PSU comes with an ATX bracket and is full modular with smaller cables so less mess.

Just a thought but go with the build Socky put up as its safe.

If you're going with an H77 motherboard please dont buy a 3570K, buy something non unlocked.

Why would you chose white over black? I was thinking about getting the black.

There are less expensive motherboards yes, but the one he linked is by far the best ITX motherboard ever produced. I'd go as far as to say it's the single best piece of computer technology, full stop, ever produced. Simply because it fits a full-scale VRM (which allows you a beastly overclock) as well as it was the first ITX card to move the CPU socket into a central position where you would have room for a large cooler. I'm pretty sure it's also the mobo that supports the fastest RAM. I could continue, but...

I consider a BitFenix Prodigy and Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe mandatory in ITX builds.

If you're short on cash, you should invest in the case, this motherboard, an Intel 3570K, 2133 Mhz RAM, a nice 220mm fan for the front intake, a tower CPU cooler like the Coolermaster 212 and that's it. I assume you can carry over your old PSU and HDDs. Start waiting for a GPU. You don't need one to begin with. You might not even need one at all.

Expand it with a GPU and SSD when you can, no rush, it will still be good for games while you wait, and once you do get them you won't regret doing it this way.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
