how to game with a 8000 dpi mouse?

So I have a Logitech G700s Mouse. It's an awesome mouse but I can't figure out how to use it at 8000 DPI (8200 MAX). Before this mouse I had a G5 which had "only" 3200 DPI. And I setup my new G700s to use 3200. Maybe It's just me but I feel like I'm under utilizing my mouse.

 

How do you guys have your setup?

Why don't you lower the DPI? You don't have to run the mouse at their max DPI.

Why would you ever want to play at 8000dpi??

You should be using about 1000dpi or less if you actually care about aiming well.

Max DPI isn't always the best,usually when i buy a mouse i usually just use it at about 3000 DPI,you don't have to use it all the way.(also you can adjust it and see the results)

Anything over 1600 is just ridiculous unless you have a 4k or multiple 4k monitors

There are mouses with 16000 DPI out there. Does it mean you have to use 16000 DPI just for the sake to "fully utilize" it?

 

Anything higher than 5000-6000 DPI is just marketing gimmick. I use logitech G403, which has 12000 DPI. And I set it at 900 DPI for gaming.

Higher dpi does not equal better gaming. Use something which you find comfortable and easy to use. (I use 800 in most fps)

I think 2000 is still fine for some people

 

RTSs have a sweet spot around that.

For someone who has no idea what DPI means, or how the sensor works. Higher DPI doesn't mean better precision. It's like mp for smartphone camera. More pixel doesn't equal better image quality.

 

What determine precision is the quality of the sensor, not how high the DPI is. Most competitive FPS players use less than 1000 DPI even though the mouse has 8200 DPI. Are they all idiots?

it's comfy, has buttons in the right place etc. Then the dpi comes second, anything over about 1600 is good for me, I'm only using a cougar 200m ($20) atm good for my claw grip and at a max of 2000pdi is easy enough to fly through my multi 1440 setup.
