Honestly, now with the GTX 780Ti being released you should just hold off. Supposed to be faster than the Titan according to Nvidia but who knows the price.

Price you pay for a 290x overseas 780sli would be the better buy.

I always finance every online purchase especially if its for a friend, so if the deal falls through I have time to pay on it while I resell it.  ALWAYS make sure it's free financing no interest.
