How many watts of power do you need for an advanced gaming rig

I voted for 700-800W although isn't there a PSU calc tool by Cooler Master where you can enter a PC's specs to get an approximate power draw? Also I wonder if that could also factor in overclocking.

In addition to that there's one more point to consider, noise. If your PSU fan only spins up at a certain point, then getting an extremely overpowered PSU could result in the fan never needing to run. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438041&ignorebbr=1

850W is usually what I recommend for a 6700k and two Titan X Maxwell cards. If you have higher end CPUs then 1000W is not a bad idea.

I would say, the increase for the 6950X is canceled out with the decrease in Titan XP power consumption.

The Titan XP uses more power than the old one, as do all Pascal cards compared to their predecessor.

Last one was a Corsair AX1200,awesome PSU,just sold that system and now running a Corsair HX850i,you can never have :too much"Besides ,a lot of them have there peak efficiency @ 50-60 % load.And never buy a Cheap no name brand,This is the single most important component you will put in your Rig.
