AMD FX Series Recommendations

Team,
I would like to know which AMD FX Series processor costs less and is also available. It can be a new or used. how ever can you also suggest any compatible motherboards for the processors, which costs less and is also available. It can be a new or used.

But the processors should atleast have 4.00ghz or higher

The purpose for the CPU is used for applications that are Processor Oriented (per core speed along with number of cores). And I would use a separate GPU for this project. I have a quadro 6000 along with 4gb*4 of DDR3 ram. Also please recommend a good PSU for this project.

Max Budget is about $300 for now. I would upgrade my pc in the month of FEB 2017.

$300 is for the Processor and Motherboard only.

Any Suggestions are greatly valued.

Thank you.

Alright well fx 8350 would be your best bet.

AS far as PSU EVGA, Corsair, BeQuite, and Antec are good PSU look for anything that is 80+ (bronze, silver, gold, and platinum)

If you budget is 300 a i7 6700k would be faster than a fx cpu in any use case.

-Pick up a 120mm radiator. $60

Example (I use the 360mm version of this): https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Performer-Liquid-Cooling-CLW0222-B/dp/B00ZTRWPJ8/ref=sr_1_70?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1474741371&sr=1-70&keywords=120mm+liquid+cooler

-Get a gigabyte 78LMT (which supports overclocking): $54 - $60

M-atx:https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-DDR3-Micro-Motherboard-GA-78LMT-USB3/dp/B009FC3YJ8/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1474741440&sr=1-1&keywords=gigabyte+am3

-All fx-8000 series are basically the same just at different clock speeds so pick up an 8320 (non e variant) and overclock the shit out of it. $150

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113285

All for around $260-ish, shop around find some deals and you can probably spend less.

Oh god no....You can't run an FX8 on a POS board like that. And you can get a better air cooler than most 120mm AIOs for less money.

Thank you.

What are you doing on this CPU. A amd fx is normally not the best solution.

Just because you used it doesn't mean it's good/acceptable. An FX8 cpu, especially if overclocked, REALLY shouldn't be used on a POS board like that with such a weak power delivery.
