Used 390 vs 480

I can get a used 390 for $300 CAD. Cheaper than the cheapest 480. Should I go for this over the 480?

Its a smidgen more performance like... sometimes less than 5 FPS at the loss of the power consumption benefits of the 480.

No- Rx does not have better performance- it may be similar but not better.

For $100 more for an 8GB version? And power isnt a problem for me considering my PC was built for the 300 series

Which 480 and which 390? With the limits AMD put on the chip removed, the 480 is better than a 390x. Which one you should get depends on the prices and which models.

Its $100 more though... I could OC the 390 as well and get pretty similar performance

And in a few years, it's gunna cost you that as a power difference between the two over time (if you keep it that long).... so it all works out.

Oh. Get the 390 then. The 480 is better but not $100 better. At least I don't think so. I don't really know what the value if the CAD is these days

I dont think its that power efficient. Energy is really cheap here

If heat and power consumption is no issue at all then the 390 is best for you, but if it is a issue then the RX 480 is the better pick!
