Headphones for around $150

Luke_H808

I was using a pair of hyperx cloud 2 but they just broke so I need some help choosing a pair for around $150 or less. I will be using this mostly for gaming and normal use but since I already have a mic so I don't need a headset. Thanks in advance for the help. :D

I am fine with either. I would not consider myself a bass head. I listen to a very limited amount of music so that would not be an issue

If you don't mind going with used products I'd get these https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00X3MT7F6/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

for some closed back headphones.

I currently have a Beyer Dynamic DT-150

It is an *awesome* phone:

sound is... well there's no word, really. Read this post

5 - 30.000 Hz where most phones will do 20 - 20.000

Incredible passive noise isolation

all parts are replaceable, and can be purchased separately (you can even add a mic later on)

However, beware!

- It is fugly. Called "the panzer" for a reason

- very high impedance (2*250 ohms). You will get bad results if you run this with a mobile phone or a "cheapo" mp3 player (onboard PC audio and audio cards should be fine though)
