Yup. The post in the middle of those torx screws is to try and prevent people from opening it up, those security drivers I linked will work just fine.

There are TONS of other options, just make sure that the set has both a t8 and t10 security torx bit.

Hi,

I'm trying to replace the joysticks of my 360 controller but I can't open it up since none of my screwdrivers works with these screws. I have actually 2 other controllers, but it's the only one with these screws. Can you give me an eBay or Amazon link to buy the appropriate screwdriver? Or do you have alternative way to replace the thumbsticks? I have friends coming...

Thanks

mine are just normal phillips head screws on my 360 controller

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Are they triangles? Or stars?

If they're stars the screwdrivers you are looking for are called "Torx drivers"

They are stars and I do have such screwdrivers, but these ones are different. Sorry I just realized that I forgot to attach the picture. I'm updating my post.

The 360 uses a torxs size t8 or t10 security screw iirc

You'll need a special bit to get them out.

You can pickup a set of torx security bits for like, dirt cheap.

Yeah those are torx security screws. Hexagonal with a spike in the middle so that regular torx bits don't work.
