Brand new PC Under 900$ for WoW and dota2

Hello PC geeks! I need your guidance in helping me better my build.

1. Budget & Location

Preferably under 900$ and location is Ottawa, Canada. I am willing to nudge the budget up a bit if necessary.

2. Aim

I am planning to build a new PC to play medium-end games like dota2, wow and possibly playing around with Source 2. These 2 are the most demanding program that I want to run, other stuff that I want to do are programming and some minor video editing (for bug reporting).

3. Monitors

I already have an ASUS 1080p monitor and planning to get another one when I have the cash.

4. Peripherals

Only Windows 10.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I am using an old laptop to play my games, other than this microwave I have Surface 3 which is no good either lol.

Here's the build I am currently planning to buy: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/ApparateCode/saved/#view=wysbt6

Thanks beforehand!

Looks alright, however I'd suggest an i5 6600 or 6600k, z170 mobo, and/or a 240GB SSD as you've got a bit of room left in your budget, also, swap that PSU out for this: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/evga-power-supply-220g20550y1

As for windows, check out http://reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap

I forgot to mention that I need the mobo to be able to support wifi for multiple reasons.

Alright, then you could stick with the one you've got in there now and go for an i5 6600 if you can fit it in your budget.

The 120GB SSD will fill up much faster than you'd expect, windows will likely take up around 20-30GB, then programs and files can easily take up another 10GB+, and games will get you even closer to the 120GB limit. I'd recommend the Samsung 850 Evo SSDs, very fast, very reliable.

I've replied to way too many threads so i'll make this quick:

change the card out for a 1060. Similar frame rates but much more VRAM to work with not to mention it's 50$ cheaper.

Instead of buying windows 10, use the media creation toll from microsoft and buy a 20$ product key from Kinguin. Saves you around $70 on windows 10.

use the money you just saved ( atleast 100$ ) using the above tips, and upgrade to an i5 6500 and maybe get an HDD or larger SSD as you only have like 120gb of storage ( wow alone is 50 + gb )

Better pc for less money. Trust me, that is much better then what you have now, futureproof too.
