It's a pretty safe site but not really the best place for stuff like that, places like hobby king or such tend to have better options but it just depends on what kind your looking for.

It's safe... but the usual 20-30 day shipping isn't exactly fun

I am already used to month shipping, I just saw there was a large amount of people who had issues with it and a large amount of people who loved it.

Product aside I've never had many issues with them in terms of customer service or shipping they tend to get back to you pretty quick. Only issue I had was a shipment taking almost one and a half months but that was a one time thing and it did come in at the end of the day.

Ah ok well I guess options are a bit limited then, I have seen a lot of those small OLED screens on ebay however.

Yeah I don't use ebay very often for those things because I have had a couple things arrive fried.

Yeah those look good to me, can't say anything terrible about Banggood really with the stuff I've purchased from them overtime.

I ordered from them recently and am happy with this and previous experiences. In New Zealand, shipping is super quick.

Bought several of those OLED screens from ebay and they work great, they aren't like the adafruit ones though as they have no ack bit so you need to add this line to the beginning of your code (assuming arduino)

U8GLIB_SSD1306_128X64 u8g(U8G_I2C_OPT_NO_ACK);

 

As for Banggood some of my work colleagues use it and have never had a problem bar stuff not turning up in which case a replacement was sent.

If you can, buy from their US or UK warehouses depending on where you are. Although I wouldn't go there for stepper motors.

dispyte it's name,you can get many things from them

even sex toys (i think thats how they got the name)

but i have never bought one from them so your mileage will vary (if you buy a sex toy but i don't think you will need to)

anyways, ask in the EEVBlog for good online stores that you can buy things from,went there and their community is great and fun

From my experience: very good store unless you have a problem with more expensive items.

Customer support is great unless you have a problem with more expensive stuff - they will ignore you or won't be helpful at all - you can open PayPal case tho.
