1080 Ti and 6800K good enough for gaming and recording?

HiddenTrilogy

120FPS on 16:9 1440p on high.

Will 1080 Ti and 6800K be able to play it at that rate and record it at about 60FPS?

Just like every other. It will. We can already assume that 1080 Ti will be better than 1080. So just go with that.

Well the titan doesn't usually get to 120 fps on ultra 1440p however you said high, unfortunately no one tests/reviews using high so I can't answer that, as for the second part of recording at 60fps, yes it would (if it comes into existence) be able to do that since recording with shadow play for instance does not remotely impact performance.

https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/ Tier Breakdown (My understanding)--1 Godly, 2 Great, 3 Good, 4 Average, 5 Meh, 6 Bad, 7 Awful

well as already said. gtx 1080 TI isn´t out at all yet. but a 1080 is more than plenty for like something as demanding as crysis 3. even at 2560x1440. so yeah. go for it

Crysis 3?... what about newer games, or the ones to come in next year (2017)?

The ole' "if I buy a $1000 GPU, will I be able to game with it?" thread.  Classy.

Ye ol', "I don't read posts, I just comment on title" guy. Classic. On top of it 1080 Ti won't be 1000$ since latest Pascal Titan X is 999$. Tell me name of series, where Ti version did cost more than actual Titan.

It's not about how new the game is but how demanding a game is and in case you

dont know the phrase "but can it run Crysis" try googling it.

Titan XP is 1200$ so 1080Ti will be somewhere around 950$.

We dont know. The card isnt out nor was it even announced yet.

The 1080 can play games at 70+ FPS at 1440p/Ultra and if the game

isnt as demanding at higher FPS. If the Ti does come out you will probably

have higher FPS than the 1080 but probably not more than the Titan XP

so try searching for benchmarks for the XP and you will roughly know.

And why shouldnt you be able to record at 60 FPS?

If you're worried about performance being impacted then you could always use a capture card.

Tell ME why you think the Titan X (Pascal) is only $1000, when the price is $1200?
