Certainly hope so about 95% of the AM3+  boards available at the moment are about 2 years out of date

i think AM3/3+ is EOL, we know AMD is wanting a new unified socket maybe next year they will debut this new socket with updated features. or they will push on with Fm2+ only in an APU only AMD World.

There is nothing new about that AsRock motherboard...I mean it's based off the old azz 760G chipset. All they basically did was slapped a AM3+ socket on it and put some new paint on.

Looks like AsRock just pushing some remaining old parts into the market...

(I don't even know why manufacturers bother to continue to sell two generation old chipset based boards)

omg where did the heatsinks on the board go? you would struggle to power a fx4300 with that board. if you even thought about putting an 8 core in it would explode!

They have an integrated graphics chip where as the 9XX series don't which can be a pain in the ass sometimes

That's true...but the 760G chipset uses a Radeon HD 3000 Integrated graphics. Another thing, the 7XX series is old old...as in BEFORE socket AM3 was a thing; they were introduced during the AM2 / AM2+ era. It was a entry-level chipset even back in the day (only thing lower is the 740G / 740 chipset)!

Most of the 7XX series was never intended to run with 125W CPUs - they were more towards 65W / 89W / 95W TDP processors. (Yes, AMD had 65W CPUs back then). Also, a lot of the old chipsets were using 3+1 power designs...with a few exceptions being 4+1. If you wanted anything better, you were looking at 790FX / 790GX / 790X boards.

When AM3 rolled out, the 7XX series was already getting long on the tooth. With the 8XX series, even some of the 870 and 880G boards were a bit iffy with 125W CPUs. Again they were more for 95W and lower CPUs (i.e. Athlon II X2 / X3 / X4, Phenom II X2, and Semprons).

The 7XX series chipset was intoduced in 2007/2008...almost 7 years ago. Why are they still here?? IMO, if they wanted to make budget oriented boards, should've went and kept with the the 880G / 890GX route (instead of phasing THOSE out and keeping the dinky 760G)
