Is BF1 CPU or GPU bound in your rig?

Hey folks,

 

I just took the BF1 beta for a spin today.  Right now I'm rocking a GTX 1080 with and OC'd i5 3570k (4.2 GHZ) and running the game at 1440p ultra, DX12 with 42% resolution scale.  My FPS is hovering in the mid-90's with occasional dips to around 65 when playing conquest.  However, I do notice that the CPU runs at 100% and the GPU fluctuates between 85 and 95 percent.  I do understand that my CPU is a bit older, and games will eventually do this, but I am curious: are folks with newer CPUs noticing this too?

On both my systems it is GPU bound on ultra. :P (DX11, Ultra & 42% render scale)

Consider turning off ambient occlusion, that is known to impact performance quite a great deal in games.

 

Other than that, set FXAA to medium since you do not need it on high if you are playing at 2560x1440.

On my system its CPU bound ( because my PC is a clusterTree of Bottleneck :D ).

CPU Usage: ~30-~40%

FPS: 25-30ish
