Posted September 3, 2016 From reading around, it seems that on idle, that temperature is not normal, but there are several also that state it is perfectly fine. Is it okay, or should I have my GPU RMA'd? For like the first month or so I know it idled at around 32-35C. GPU is a Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Edition. Posted September 3, 2016 You could download something like GPU-Z and see if it's being used by something. When I have ShadowPlay enabled for desktop it sits at 46c when not gaming because it's still using the gpu. Posted September 3, 2016 It's normal, the Zotac 1080 AMP! has a zero fan speed mode when the GPU is idle. The fans don't kick in until the GPU temp goes above 63*C.
