What are these ports?

So I've been using a bunch of old pc parts to practice (so I dont fry/damage components on my actual PC) and I noticed this cyan port that looks like VGA, but it's got less pins, Then there's this insane magenta port that also looks like VGA, but with like tons of pins. Can someone tell me what these are? Because they look alien to me xD

I think it's called a parallel port... It's kinda ancient

My first guess (no pictures) would be that the small one is a DE-9 serial port, and  the other a DB25F parallel port.

Small cyan is serial, it was a sort of generic port, like USB before USB existed.

The large magenta is a parallel port, used for printers before USB printers.

Of course, both of them stayed on motherboards for many years after USB came around too, just for legacy compatibility.

Serial port or com port or rs 232.

25 pin or 9 pin, some 25 pins are scsi not serial but they look exactly the same. Iomega zip drives uses 25 pin scsi as well as usb.
