Is This A Good Build?

I was sent this rig and I'm not sure how well it'll run with the things I want to do? Keep in mind I started learning this PC stuff like less than a month ago. So what I want to do is a lot of video editing. I also have multiple tabs open of a regular basis. I will do some gaming on stuff like Goat Simulator (don't judge me) CS: GO, Far Cry, and possibly Minecraft if I'm really bored. So how well will it run? (I forgot to add, i watch a TON of YouTube and Netflix. Not sure if that changes anything.)(I also forgot to say I do a lot of video editing. like almost every day.)

And if the linked word doesn't work, here it is again: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/F39W4C

Can you get Windows from Kingwuin or G2A and then be able to afford a 120GB SSD? It'll make a world of difference in terms of overall longevity and speed. You also won't ever have to defrag your C drive which you'll love not having to do, I promise.

Wow I'm sorry but I understood like 10% of that. I'm new. Also, that's the max budget.

No problem.

You should get a solid state drive to go along with your hard drive, AKA have two storage capacities in your computer. Install Windows on the SSD (solid state drive) so that its a lot faster and you never have to defragment your Windows boot drive. The hard drive can store all your games and music and photos and stuff.

Getting the Windows key from G2A or Kingwuin will save you a lot of money.

After some looking up I've come to a conclusion (correct me if I'm wrong) that you are telling me to get a version of Windows 10 for a cheaper price from them. How exactly does this stuff work? Do you put tangible hardware in the PC itself? Because if I'm correct on all this, I'll definitely do that.

No, I'm saying get your Windows license from an online outlet such as G2A or Kingwuin for a lot cheaper. With the money you've saved, you'll be able to afford a 120GB SSD. That SSD is like a hard drive but way faster and you'll be able to notice a huge speed difference.

TL;DR, just do as I say and it doesn't need to get so convoluted :P

Alright. I'm glad I'm starting this out young, there sure does seem like a lot of stuff to learn, and almost every tutorial I've found on YouTube was made in 2013 or older, and the comments say it's outdated. Is there an app or website that specifically tells me PC news? Like I open it up and it tells me if a new ummm hardware(?) has come out?

There's a lot of sites. I personally prefer TechPowerUp, but GamersNexus is pretty pro too (they also have a channel on YT).

Youtube is good for it if you subscribe to Linustechtips, HardwareCanucks, Tek Syndicate, and that sort of group.

First of all, thank you for making all the links Amazon. Some people don't do that. If I'm correct, all I have to buy now is a monitor. That goes over budget since the good ones are $100+. Could I use a TV with an HDMI instead? I mean a cheap temporary TV until I can afford 3 monitors.

It will work but depending on it's size and resolution, texts may look fuzzy and hard to read.

Btw what's your budget?

Yes, I have suffered before. I have a friend who's TV for many years was a huge box TV. He functioned just fine, but I couldn't see anything. I'll make sure it's at least 19" 720p

A bigger size and lower resolution is actually what distorts the text so you're fine with that 19".
