will a bottom fan help cooling the gpu?

i have cm 690 iii 
front 200
back 120

i have 1 more 120mm fan should i put it at bottom intake or top exust

you want positive case pressure aka more air going in than out so out it where ever this will be achieved without knowing the pressure and cfm of your fans I would bottom is likely your best bet.

 

as for if it will help with cooling your gpu maybe but probably not by much.

Having a fan pulling air in and blowing it directly onto the GPU will help with temps. When I installed mine my GPU temps dropped by 15-20*C and it stopped thermal throttling.

I tried doing that when I did all my testing. Putting a fan directly below did nothing. Pretty sure my temps were as low as they were gonna get.

what about in idle 
i have msi gtx 1060 gaming x temp at idle is 50  but load max is 65

Maybe a degree or two. My cards normally idled around 28,30. Wasn't worth me leaving fans down there. However, in sli I did notice a difference. My bottom card was a bit starved so I tried it with two fans. Did lower it about 2-3 on that card only while gaming. This was with blower style coolers. r

65c max load is chilly. You don't need more cooling.

Idle doesn't mean much. If your fans are running at full speed, then its hot.
