No they don't xD

There have bee two --80ti cards, EVER. The 780ti and the 980ti. How exactly is that, always?

It's been their release strategy since 2013 and it's nearly 2017 and it hasn't changed so, its been a while going like this.

I don't mean since the beginning of time, but seeing how they've been doing things the same way for like 4 years now I don't see why anybody would expect anything but the same until they announce or do it differently.

yeah, yeah. But what's happening here is people WANT a 1080ti, and I don't blame them. But companies don't do what you want, they do what makes MONEY.

It's fucking stupid to think that while the pascal line sells as fast as it hits the shelf, Nvidia would bring out a card that cuts into that fat Titan money.

And they would give up money, why again? For the feels? Pfft

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Anyway @DutchTexan back to topic. I've just ordered a Predator 165hz panel for my 980 Ti, I would say seeing as the 980 Ti in optimized titles is still pulling nice FPS that the regular 1080 is a good buy for 1440p 144hz or if you wanted to save money then even the 1070 is a good buy.

But at what frequency can you hand load 9mm rounds? How does that differentiate between overclocking your cz 75 sp01 vs a stock trigger wight and sight? What about the other manufactures regarding .45 cal?

Pretty sure companies make money by selling more products, which they're bound to do with a Ti release.

A good lot of people who can afford and buy Ti's are aware of what they offer, and aren't going to be Titan X customers because of it.

Did I miss something where we lived in a world where Titan's sold better than Ti's and made Nvidia more money or something?

Maybe per GPU sold but that doesn't matter if it's only a fraction of how many 980 Ti's sold.

"Oh yea look at all that extra profit we're making off the new Titan X, as we sell like 10 of them a week"

They're bound to sell even less at $1200 now too.

Nvidia doesn't lose money by releasing Ti's, it's what their biggest enthusiasts have been getting for years now, people are waiting for them with their money.

Those puppies are expensive. I stopped by the Micro Center in Houston and looked at IPS vs TN panels and they honestly don’t look much different to me. So, I;ve been looking at a Dell panel thats 1440p and 144hz with g sync for around $520. What would recommend that is similar to that or more expensive but solid value?

I don’t care how much things cost, I just want it to be a good deal or solid value for performance and quality

I've heard great things about the Dell G-Sync panel, They say the colours are a little off but that's probably because the competition is the PG278Q and the IPS calibrated 271HU and PG279Q. If an IPS panel is calibrated correctly you can tell the difference instantly. I would pick up the Dell if you're not sold on IPS though.

I came across a good review for it the other day

Also, the 980 Ti was only $100 more than the 980.

So it's possible the 1080 Ti could be just $700 but unlikely.

For some reason I thought the 980 Ti was $700 but apparently MSRP was $650.

Heh 5.56 is better for normal rifle use, much more common and effective.

I was going to buy a 980ti hybrid with a radiator a while ago because it was $405. I didn’t pull the trigger on it, because I suspected I was being too emotional and did not hold a proper understanding at that point in time.

yeah but back then AMD was still competitive...they are not anymore...so there are no valid reason for nvidia to gift us with a 1080ti this time around.

You either pay BIG bucks for the ''mid-range'' GTX 1080...or you pay a STUPID amount for the big gun...titan X.

well kind of...depend on your budget really...but the 1080 is roughly 25% faster than the 1070...but it cost usually more than a 25% extra.

So the 1070 is better value...but the 1080 is noticeably faster.

So it depend how serious a gamer you are, what games you play...how often you upgrade your graphics card...all that stuff.

I can tell you this, i have an overclocked 980ti myself which perform about the same as the GTX 1070 at 1440p...and i'm more than happy with it...i can run all games on maximum settings with some level of anti-aliasing and the games look super good...and it's butter smooth.

So...i'll add this: the monitor is also very important for GPU's of that caliber...i would favor a better monitor with a GTX 1070 versus a cheaper monitor with a GTX 1080...but the dell panel you've watched in the review seem very good to me...yes it's a TN panel, but it's a GOOD TN panel...and for the price IMHO it's hard to beat...

Well the way I see it is... one could be interested in a corvette and a Ferrari. For the money a corvette is much more intelligent in terms of price/performance. In the same breath, there are things that a Ferrari can do what a Corvette wont be able to. Then on the other other hand there is Porsche. A 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S would completely out do the corvette and just slightly lose to a say a Ferrari 488. The Corvette I would say is a 1060, the turbo 911 is a 1070 and then 1080 would be a Ferrari 488.

It’s not that the Ferrari is unattainable or out of budget so to say, but there is something to be said about what Porsche delivers for the money, in the same way a Corvette is a great value for money, but without the degree of engineering excellence or performance available in a Porsche 911 Turbo S.
