Bottlenecking...

Go to solution Solved by AresKrieger,

No, no, and no

Small amount of ram can bottleneck a cpu but that's about it, 8-16GB would be fine for your system (you can have more if you wish)

I am going to upgrade my PC and I am going for a GTX 1070 and I was wondering will it bottleneck the i7 6700k?? Sorry i am new to PC's and I don't know much. Also can a Graphics card bottleneck a Motherboard? Or can RAM bottleneck a Motherboard? Once again I am sorry for knowing little to nothing about PC's!

The i7 6700K is more than enough for the 1070. And no don't worry much about the motherboard and the RAM (as long as you have 8GBs of RAM that is)
