How do I stop my cat from going behind my monitor/PC and attacking the cables?

So one of my cats (not the one in my profile picture) jumps up onto my desk, behind my monitors and PC and attacks my cables. What do I do?

I move my computer a lot and I don't want the "substance" to get all over my stuff.

It would work though, it's hard to train a cat since they don't give a fuck, if you scold them they just misbehave more

I placed boxes to where they can't jump up and it seems to be working

Why do your cats sleep in bags? What about in a bed? Or your bed? Or on the floor?

I worded that weirdly, they'll sleep on the bags, they also sleep on my bed, couches, floor, and anywhere else they can fit.
