Although it can be HAARP(technology used to create artificial earthquakes or weather conditions etc) or something like it e.g., phone towers but I can assure you that it's Electricity(at least according to my observations). If you have issues outside of games all the way to the bios logo, it can't be anything else except Electricity or EMI. All we need is someone with equipment and knowledge and you will see yourself that it's most likely electricity or emi. Believe me i am that much sure because of some experience and knowledge in Electrical Engineering field and also because of all the power quality issues i observed after moving to this house.

AMD suport says they forwarded my video to the "internal team" so maybe an actual expert will look at it.

I will ask people from the service where i have sent my PC to them did they saw how graphics looks bad, how much are they equipped and where they plugged my PC in some kind AVR, UPS or in the standard eletrical plug.

 

Also i think this issue can be hardware, software, eletrical problem.It might be that some people mix these problems.

I don't work as an Electrical Engineer. But I have studied Electrical/Electronics Engineering for 4 years at a University. You'll require at least basic knowledge on electronics or electricity to understand my posts or disregard them. Without that knowledge people will make you believe in some crazy virus and you'll believe them rather than believing someone with knowledge and observations

Even on top of that why does the intensity of blur change. Maybe the software decides out of nowhere to just increase or decrease the intensity one day. I guess that software is much more intelligent and knows how to annoy people. Maybe it's Artificial Intelligence that knows us and wanna make us angry so that it can take over the world just like terminator. LOL

 

 

There is no such software, we are just making it more difficult for ourselves.

Can you elaborate this links please.You have some technical knowledge about electricity.

It says, there can be many sources of EMI including the PC itself. But PC itself being the source, i doubt it because i had this same PC in my old house and had no issues there. If it's EMI then the source is something else. About Electromagnetic shielding, we first have to figure out what the source is and if it is indeed EMI that we are dealing with or something like Harmonics, Inter-Harmonics, Brownout condition or High Neutral Voltage etc.


According to my observations whatever we (people with case 2) are dealing with in electricity it's affecting both PC and monitor. It's affecting the electronic components.

I said this before in a post on the NVIDIA forum we’ve been using,  I was playing shadow of the tomb raider a while back and when I was in the graphics settings menu every time I changed an option whether it was texture detail or shadows my light in the room slightly dimmed.  Every time I changed a setting it would dim real quick,  about as fast as the setting changed as I clicked it.  I was also not seeing things because I had my gf in the room to confirm I’m not losing my mind.  I don’t put to much water into this electrical theory but what else could cause such a thing?

I think we should ALL get a hold of NVIDIA and AMD and give them the link to this forum and tell them this is actually happening,  that it’s not BS! 

Hopefully a bunch of people touting the same forum may get them to think for just a minute...  I don’t think it’s there fault but there product were using isn’t working properly and we all did NOTHING to cause this BS!  Maybe even send them the link to the NVIDIA forum we’ve been using as well.

Hello,

I have the same problem overnight, but only about 2 weeks after changing my GTX970 to my RTX2060. So I tried to put the 970 back to test and it's the same thing. So that's why I'm here, having read the threads on the Nvidia forum and this one we're getting closer to something.

It is interesting that you have this issue on both cards. This would indicate that the problem really isn't in the GPU itself, but elsewhere in the system, or the electricity itself.

do any of you have a back up power? Because it regulates the current and solves the problem of while cooling the graphics cards. Maybe it has something to do with that.

I think you are here to just troll and don't have any knowledge to share? OK we accept your theory that there is a crazy Software Bug/Virus that can take over your PC. Where is that software? While you neither have any knowledge about Electricity nor about how Software works. Yet you claim a software can cause compression artifact even in bios logo. On top of that, the same "Software Bug" according to you can change the intensity of this compression artifact.

 

I advice you to open up your eyes, it's been seven years and we are no where because of useless posts like these.

I'll buy one after moving to another house. First i want to check if the issues are only in this house or they are specific to this transformer/neighbours.

A cheap PSU swill make it worse as it’s a “fake” sine wave. A PSU has nothing to do with cooking or a GPU

Don't know if this is related, but I got 4k TV for my PS4 Pro and... I feel it lacks some sharpness. I tried some games such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, AC Odyssey and all of them somehow blurry. They aren't terrible, but could be better. Meanwhile, The Order 1886, which, as I understand, never received Pro patch to support higher resolutions, looks really realy bad, clearly lacks sharpness and has some huge blur with black bars.

 

I have 4 theories:

 

1. Maybe something is wrong with settings on console or TV. Need to mess around more.

2. Maybe it doesn't look good because I'm sitting too close to the TV (less than a meter away).

3. Or maybe this is perfectly normal, maybe I was expecting from 4k too much? I was expecting that it will just blow me away how super sharp and clear everything will be. I never had 4k display before, so I can't compare.

4. Electricity!

Cheap UPS usually output square wave or modified sine wave instead of pure sine wave. Although this square wave is bad but can't be as much devastating as harmonics or other issues in power. Also these cheap UPS sometimes have their neutral tied with the neutral of the power coming to your house and also bypass the phase voltage when it's available. Hence they don't provide isolation from whatever bad coming in from supply side.

The problem with TVs is they have so many "enhancement" options that they completely alter the picture that a console/PC is sending. Even with most of those off, they usually still don't provide a 1:1 pixel mapping, meaning they still resize the picture somewhat, and if their resizing algorythms are bad (and they usually are) you can bet blur, jaggies etc. This is why using TVs to diagnose this problem is a bad idea. You can't be sure if it's the TV or if there is an actual graphics problem.

This is also why I don't really believe people when they say they have this issue on consoles. It might just be their TV.

Also, I noticed that right now all youtube videos have extreme jagged edges and shimmering on certain objects, not just watching on PCGamer, like I reported before.

 

Issue persists on Windows 10 and Windows 7 systems. And only on Chrome browser. Firefox and Edge seems fine.
