Any tips before I construct this little beast?

Hey guys so I'm going to be building the PC in a few days (when the PSU gets here- FedEx is slow)

Just wondering if you guys had any tips for a beginner? Advice? Tricks? Comments? 

Anything is appreciated.

My actual price was $600 before rebates with some coupons so I think it was a pretty good deal.

Don't let any screws fall on the Motherboard, don't force anything, work in a static free environment, BTW past experience with the NZXT source 210 the 4/8 pin CPU connector is very hard to get in with top fans mounted and even without them is a pain in the arse.

Thanks. Any tips on getting the 8 pin in there? Maybe put it in before the motherboard?

Go for some Corsair Memory which is like the same price

 

Why the case fan?

 

Try to go for higher end motherboard for overclocking. ( If you can spend for cooler)

I got the case fan just so I could try and get some more airflow. I have a couple other 120mm fans I could use aswell.

Route the 8/4 pin to the top left hand side before you put anything in, also the Source 210 has no noise isolation so with bad fans it gets very very noisy 

 

EDIT: Also if you plan on getting aftermarket cooling the Hyper 212 Evo does not fit in the case

Leave an extra SATA cable routed. And for the love of God, GPU goes in LAST. Don't wanna get that in, and realize you haven't plugged in the SATA cables in.

I also had that problem the GPU covers up the SATA ports good tip.

Okay cool. I'll just route the extension in before anything else. I'll probably upgrade the case at xmas time to something with more airflow and get a better cooler.

Yeah I plan to test outside of the case and I'll get some better fans when I upgrade the case in a few months to something like an arc midi r2

gutted i just wrote out a whole new build that cost not much more but with better cpu, board and gpu then noticed.

Psu is a bit on the high side. A 450-500w would be enough to a single 7870 or bump up to a 650 for CF.

he already said that the parts have been purchesed and will not change them, stop trying to tell him to change his parts
 

 I would highly recommand a magnetic screw driver makes building much easier and you dont have to worry about screw falling into onto your motherboard or loosing them
 

try to route the 24 pin power cable  in such a way that it wont block the  cable pass throughs the cable is thick and can push the cable to bend pins.

I personally would not use cue connectors for  the same reason above the other thicker cables can bend theconnecting pins.

as for power supplies don't worry if you have one on the high side, it doesnt hurt anything and can maybe use it again in the future
