No signal detected HDMI

Stevoisboss

Pc I just built for a friend: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/XP627h Test booted it without a display and everything works such as the cpu cooler the gpu fans and case fans and one of the leds on the mobo turned on. Everything is plugged in correctly I am sure of. When ever I connect it using HDMI though it doesn't work. Too pissed off to think clearly right now so any help is greatly appreciated.

Unsure what power supply to pick?

Check out my HTPC build.

Using mobo or gpu ports?

Can you try integrated graphics?

if not try another gpu

try with only one stick of ram

reset the bios/cmos

check you cables and connections well

Try another monitor

Try another display type(vga)

I tried the mobo and gpu ports. Both didn't work. Although I didn't unplug the gpu.

Try without the gpu at all, as well as one stick of ram, and reset it.

You might also want to just look at some other *new build no post" threads that cover the basic tests over and over.

Without the gpu it worked fine. Do you think its the gpu or if its not getting enough power? On pcpartpicker it said I had 100w to spare though. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/XP627h

pcpartpicker isn't always the best for power needs, but seems pretty close this time.

Do you have another gpu you can try? or another rig you can try the gpu in?

Assuming your pc has enough power and the card works in it, then I would assume the psu is the issue or the mobo.

If it doesn't work and you have enough power, then I would just rma the card.
