Getting really high CPU temps at idle with h100i

Hey guys.

So recently i have noticed that I am getting idle cpu (i7 4770k) temps of 79-92 degrees celcius with my h100i. Also, I reapplied thermal paste and I have the fans on high going at 2413rpm and I am not sure what is wrong. All help is appreciated.

Thanks!

double check with a 2nd program like CoreTemp or RealTemp. I assume your are using your Corsair Link to check currently.

Remount the CPU clock with new thermal paste and make sure the backplate is on correctly, it only goes one way.

You also might have to use the washer method.

And make sure your pump is plugged in and running.

go download a 2nd program like CoreTemp or RealTemp and use that to validate your temps in corsair link.

Seems like maybe your pump is not working properly then imo.

Yes I am

Voltage looks good in your screen shot, but can you go into BIOS and verify what your voltage is?

79f is a little warm for ambient temps, but nothing that should drive your CPU up that high with that little load.

Did you do or change anything recently that made you start looking at temps more closely?
