I have both xD

I don't see a reason, though they are different, if you have one, it is really not worth getting the other

Main Machines~ Prometheus - i7 3930k @ 4.5GHz, X79-UD3, HyperX Blu 1600Mhz 24Gb (2x8Gb, 2x4Gb), XFX Double-D 7970, H100i, Military green C70, TX850M, All Corsair SP/AF-120 fans, Samsung 840 Pro 128Gb, 750Gb Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM x2, NZXT Hue accent lights (wouldn't reccommend, they don't stick well). Laptop~ Asus X202E touch notebook- 500Gb 5400RPM 7mm HDD, 4Gb RAM-not upgradeable, 1.8GHz i3, HD4000

Yup, its very expensive, considering the government fronted the bill for it to get developed. You may only pay in download time now but your parents/grandparents paid for it through taxes and then through grants the creators got to spend time coding it.

 

Nothing is free.

Man $52K! You're doing it wrong. I got 50+ Network Licenses and assorted toolboxes for $3.5K/year, upgrades/support included B) (I don't pay for it, "The man" does)

But you bought licenses in volume with some agreement, that's what it would cost for an individual to own (it also includes every toolbox in existence).

 

Since I am a student, I get to pay $100 per year for access.

Microsoft Office 2007 Professional which I technicly haven't paid myself.
