Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate I guess. Used it to follow some youtube tutorials. But ofc I didn't pay a cent for it, yay dreamspark :D

And I got a few compies of Windows Home Server 2012 and Win8 pro... yay Dreamspark again :D

And SPSS. Decided to go with the University Sub for 50$ a year [3 years by now, more to come] instead of paying 1800$ for the pack with all the addons I need. So ya ^^

most linux distros are free, and paid ones are usually cheap. which distro are you talking about? red hat?

Xubuntu, which is pretty much exactly like Ubuntu, just it uses Xfce for the interface and is slightly more lightweight than Ubuntu on old PCs. I have to use it on my old Dell.

He was probably being sarcastic

Nope. I'm being serious. All my XP restore disks don't count (came with my old PCs), got Office 97 though my cousin for my old laptop with Windows 98 on it, and he also gave me Vista Ultimate because when he got his PC he put XP on it pretty much the instant he turned it on.

MATLAB. With the toolboxes I have installed, the total price comes to around $52,000.

But it's boss software.
