my computer wont let change my refresh rate higher than 60 with out downgrading resolution

when i go to settings > display setting > advanced display settings > display adapter  properties > list all modes 1440p X 2560 and 144 hetz is not an option.

Use DVI-D (Dual Link) and try to use HDMI. And also Displayport.

Use display port, best port 2012

What cable are you using?

Obviously if you're using HDMI, it's not going to support 1440p at 144Hz. You need to use the display port cable.

Blue screens eh? Did you try setting it to Wumbo?
