[Build Log] - Aurora Frost

Hello,

 

Im Daren,New to this site but year's in experience with building rig's.Customizing thing's is one of my favorite hobbies,My old rig from 2008 was really outdated,link here ...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUpz77DD-L4&feature=youtube_gdata_player...So i save up an build me a new beast with full watercooled dual loops,first time using acrylic tubes so i did enough research before i did my loops. The general theme of this is the Asus ROG color scheme of black/red/white with midplate. I love the ASUS Maximus VI Formula an I had to have it,with the nice armor plate an water block.

Part list:
Case:NZXT  Phantom 820  (Received).

Mobo: ASUS Maximus VI Formula (Received)
CPU: Intel i7 4770k (Received) overclock to 4.7ghz
RAM: G.Skill Trident X 16GB 2400mhz..( Received)
HDDs: 2x Samsung 840 pro 128 Gb SSDs in Raid 0(Received)1
GPUs: 2x EVGA GTX 760s(Received)
PSU: Enermax Revolution 85+ 850w(Received)from last build

 

Watercooling Part list:

Water blocks: EK Supremacy HF + XSPC Razor GTX670 +Bitspower Ram block 4 slot.( GPU blocks fit the 760 no problem)
Radiators: EK 240 an XSPC 480 (Received)
Fittings/tubes: Primochill Rigid Ghost fitting an Acrylic tubes,Bitspower fitting,crystal links for gpu..
Pump/Res: 2xEK DCP 2.2 , 2xBitspower 240 res (Received)
Fan Controller: NXZT case controller/ Bitfenix Recon + 10x Bitfenix Spectro pro 120mm white fans.

Coolant:Mayhems Aurora Tharsis red an Pastel Black Concentrare mix with Mayhems Ultra pure H20

 

Mod list:

Remove all drive bays (done)

Make Midplate from Acrylic Sheet's (done)

Make sideplate with 4x 120mm fan (done)

Make pump an res Backplate with Acrylic sheet (done)

Make GPC backplate's (done)

Replace side panel window with big nicer one (not done)

Love it but personally would've added a bit more for a 780 but that's just me. Epic build mate.

Absolutely beautiful. Welcome to the forums, and mind me asking. Why 2 GTX 760s in lieu of a GTX 780?

Thank you guy's for welcoming me, i wanted to go 780 but 250$ is my limit an a sinlge gpu. i play all my games at Max setting's.

Overclocking my 4770K to 4.7 ,20 with normal use,at 100% load i max out at 58 degree's 24hr test sables

Tiny vid cards lol..Look's like SLI sound cards..

lol .when i took the fans of i was like ,where the other half at. my only gtx 275 are double the size.

Why use the EK pump?

 

You should have gone with a Laing one.

Amazing build! Those GPU backplates are acrylic too? does the static charge that can build from acrylic worry you at all?
