Does anybody know what this is?

Go to solution Solved by Tazman192,

Looks like an interesting powerline adapter to me. One that uses a cable for power rather than being plugged directly into a socket.

Sorry for the picture quality. My aunt just sent me this and asked me to find a replacement.

I've looked around but I can't find what it actually is.

Does anybody have an idea

Well "www.peakhardware.com" doesn't exist but it looks most like a access point.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

To be honest, I never thought of it being a powerline adapter even though I've got them all over the house. Did a quick google of Peak Powerline Adapter and found it.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/PEAK-POWERLINE-HOMEPLUG-BUNDLE-RETAIL/dp/B001G7PGG4

First sold on Amazon in 2008. Time for a serious upgrade me thinks :D

Thanks for the help

You're welcome. I'll highly recommend any TP-LINK powerline adapter. I've got a variety around the house and some are shit but the TP-LINK ones have never let me down. Depending on your aunt's use, a 200 MB one will do fine.

The ones I have got at home are TP-LINK. I also have some TalkTalk branded ones that came free with our YouView box, I think they are rebranded TP-LINK ones as well and they've been working constantly for years. To be honest, I'm surprised any work in this house, the wiring is dreadful, I turned the RCD off for the lighting circuit and they were still live until I turned the sockets off!
