Hey Guys,

My current rig has a p8p67-m pro in it currently. It's crossfire compatible according to Asus's site. I was thinking about getting two RX 480's in a couple months. My questions are

Will they work in Crossfire even though it's an older board?

Even if they do work, could there be performance issues due to the board being something like 5 years old?

Do I need a crossfire bridge? (I've never had an AMD card before, rocking a single 780 atm)

Thanks,

Cleft

Your cpu might be a bottleneck you would need a 8350 at least to prevent it.

And amd uses the pcie slot for crossfire so no bridge.

Edit: your cpu should be fine, no idea why i though that was an amd board.

If you plan on buying dual 480's it would be bettter to buy a single 1070 or 1080

^This. When you are ready to upgrade, sell the first 480 and, with the money you'd spend on the second 480, get a single 1070.
