Hacker, coding, nerd spaces?

Hey, I was wondering how many people or how many city's, towns and so on have hacker spaces? I currently go the biggest one in Canada known as skullspace (Look it up, I have a photo from there of me and a friend trying to brake ninjaflex, didn't go so damn well). I was just wondering what your city's hacker space is like. What would you like to see in your city's hacker space if  your city didn't have one? Just wondering because maybe LMG should open a hacker space to make extra money and do workshops with fans! If I had the money to fly out there I would join a hacker space that would be hosted by LMG. What about you guys?

I wish we had a hacker space out here...

Usually just dumb rednecks trying to figure out what the shiny box is that shows pictures of lifted trucks and half naked inbred women.

Depends on where you are. HAK5 does some workshops I believe. At my hacker space we have a 3D printer, We are ordering a CNC, We have RDP VMs for memebers, we have server rack space for memebers, terminals for members and even a lot of snacks! You should do some more looking around. There are over 200 something hackerspaces in the US. you are bound to find one near you!

Hacker is person who fiddles with digital devices or programs to make them do something else than what original idea was. Or something along those lines. Hacker space is place where multiple people gather on working software/hardware projects etc. with controlled environment (as in there's some rules in place and people who know how to use machines there).

There's a... thing... here that calls itself a Hackerspace, but all they do is meet up once a week for a couple of hours and talk about 3D printing.

 

There's more hacking going on in my yet-to-be-finished-with-an-overly-complicated-deadline-that-i-have-no-idea-when-will-be mancave than at the hackerspace...

I have a makerspace. Little bit different as you just make things. But you have access to metal stock, wood stock, the fastest 3D printers you can buy, CNCs, lathes and so on.

 I just found this! I remember are local TV station did a documentary on our hacker space. Most of the stuff is from the once a year voting meeting and rule changes and the other 50% of from the Synth Meetup we hosted
 

Also back a few year ago before I joined this was is are current space but in the video it is out old old set up. But it still is just a look inside Canada's biggest hacker space!
