So, I like to draw, 3D design, and program. But whenever I open up Roblox Studio, Unity, AutoDesk, set up my drawing tablet, I just look at it, sigh, then quit.

I don't want to do that, I just DO. I don't know why because I have so many ambitions and I just can't?

So what motivates you?

anytime I open an drawing/modeling program it is because I have new ideas for personal projects that I want to get into a visual form so I can see how they look/work and tweak them.  I guess its usually just personal excitement for the project that gives me the motivation to spend hours digitally designing something

I have this same exact problem when I start programming something or learning some sort of software, like Unity/Unreal. Usually, I ask myself "What can I make that I know will make me satisfied in the end or have a benefit with me?" and then work towards that. Might not work with you, but sometimes works for me, depending on what I'm doing.

My brother want's me to make a quick and simple mobile game with him.

I guess one thing that always stops me is I never get good graphics for stuff, where do you get yours?

Since i had a Ruth life my motivation is usually listening to music (the sad kind) and it builds my ambitions to keep growing

Some kind of reward or treat.

 

Treat yourself. IDK what you like to eat but for example. You could buy some chocolate you like (in my case 70% Dark chocolate) and just have some afterwards. It will trick your brain into thinking you enjoyed it and therefore you will have less issue doing it in the future.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I'm motivated to contribute something to my family, friends and the collective that is humanity as a whole. I just want to leave the world a better place than I found it. Maybe kind of deep, but that's one of the simplest explanations I can offer.

I was only thinking the same thing the other day actually. What motivates other people ? I really enjoy making videos and all that and I guess my favourite thing about it is seeing the finished product ! I mean I know drawing is you thing (I really wish I could draw) but I mean it's the same process I feel. Starting it off in the first place can be difficult, but I kinda get into the swing of it and then I just love it. I do struggle to start making content though.

But I guess my main motivation is just finally seeing the video up online, and getting comments on them, good or bad ! It inspires me to do more and learn from the last video I made and get better at it every time.

Seems like you just don't have enough ideas. Whenever I open my drawing program or Unity3D, I have a couple (to dozens) of ideas to work on. If you come up with an idea, write it down so you can work on it later.
