Just for my personal use I like to use CPUID which is just some software that will tell you temps of your parts (MB, GPU, CPU, cores, fan rpm)

  • Video player (MPC-HC or VLC)
  • Music player (Winamp or Foobar2K)
  • Basic image editor (Paint.NET)
  • Plaintext editor (Notepad++)
  • Hardware monitoring tool (HWMonitor)
  • Housekeeping tool (CCleaner)
  • Web browser (Whatever you want)

Yes well, that's about as useful as saying "go google that"

Been using windows defender for about a year since I built this PC and have not had a single problem, most antivirus programs just slow down your PC and dont do squat.

if you're gonna game a lot, also get Origin and Uplay clients. not really as intuitive as having Steam, but you need to have them to run certain games. also check out GOG Galaxy though you don't have to download the client

And I've had a variety of free AV suites that showed no impact to performance. And Tom's Hardware ran a thing in 2011, system performance was not impacted appreciably at all. The only thing that did have an impact was web page load times, and that's if the AV software did scanning before rendering.

I also don't see Windows Defender blocking Skype from contacting servers in Ukraine for some weird reason.

Obviously Ukraine is attempting to blow up the moon with Skype's servers. We need to warn Richtofen and go into a different timeline to stop this from happening. Luckily I have vodka for Nikolai and 115 for the trip. I don't have any monkey bombs though, so if you go down there's nothing I can do. If we search and find three hidden items we could have songs to listen too while on the adventure.O.o
