Cannot open anything

So, I opened my laptop today and none of the programs will launch, everything I click on just spins and then stops spinning, and when I try to open task manager I get this error: C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe

Any Ideas?

I just wrote, I know Its the name of a file location, but thats the "error message" that comes up when I try to launch task manager. Ive checked and taskmgr.exe does exist In C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe as per the advice of another thread on a forum.

Tried Safe Mode? Never heard of such behavior.

Tried safe mode, worked fine, then I tried again normally booting up and It worked... No Idea how... but It works Thanks for the help

That's very odd. Will dig around for similar problems later.
