H60 on i5 6600k.

Ok, Here is my current rig https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TunnelBreaker/saved/DNZtt6

Now that you've seen some of the parts, I was wondering. How much can I overclock it with my h60. I was thinking atleast 4.0 GHZ but Some say that the h60 isn't that great for overclocking. Here are some things I would really need

-4.0 ghz overclock

-Silent operation. Maybe a little audible noise

If there is another cooler at the same price range that would perform better, please tell me! Have an amazing day :)

H60 sucks. Many air coolers outperform it.

Whats your budget? Maybe we find you something better.

Do you think the hyper 212 evo would be the better performer over the Cryorig H7.

It is listed on Newegg to have the higher CFM over the H7.

The H7 is better.

........

there is evga gold power supply that is semi modular at $69.99 at 650watts. If you intend to always be using motherboard and CPU power, it might be a better option.

could maybe even do crossfire at the low TDP

They perform very similarly.

A Pure Rock would be quieter: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cwPzK8/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009

A H60 or any of these coolers would be fine for 4.2ghz+ but aren't as quiet as the mentioned air cooling alternatives.

Sure, it looks better. but I have been reading on the Specs that the CFM rating on the 212EVO is 82.9 CFM -/+ 10% and the H7 is max 49 CFM

CFM measures airflow, e.g. amounts of air per minute, hence Cubic feet per  minute. Cooling capacity of a heatsink however does not only depend on the airflow, but mostly on the design of the heatsink itself.

Ok but i am concerned about case restrictions, since the pure rock cooler is pretty tall and also my case can only support 160mm tall coolers. The pure rock is 155 which means I only have 5mm side panel space which could be pretty tight

5mm is plenty of clearance unless you plan to put something between the heatsink and the side panel for some reason.
