Ban Keemstar from Youtube!

I don't think that form is going to do anything, but perhaps people can come together in a class action lawsuit about being incorrectly insulted/accused of things by someone (forget the name for this but it is actually a thing - you can't just go around spreading lies about people).

I see your point, but just plain old trash talking, lying, making a 62 year old cry after being called a pedophile by thousands of people, having his phone number hacked, name released, address released, and more should get you banned. Especially compared to the people getting banned to day on youtube for using a screenshot from someones video to prove a point.

Unfortunately/fortunately, petitions usually have very little impact. In this situation, it's likely only garnering him more views. I agree that those that he has slandered, should try and put some sort of lawsuit together. Considering he has defamed many individuals, they may actually have a strong case.

 

Once an individual has been accused of heinous acts, it's going to stick with them, regardless of whether it's true or not. People are quick to jump to conclusions.

I feel bad for watching this guys channel because he's a cunt. But then again its a good way to keep up with all the drama going on, like if you can't be bothered to figure it out yourself. So its a good channel in the sense that it keeps you updated on every happening going on, on youtube and all the banter on Twitter. But I'm pretty sure I could easily live without him, or just live without knowing all the drama.

Yeah I understand your point, but there are many other drama-based youtubers on Youtube. I like to watch Scarce, who does it respectfully and doesn't lie.

When people talk about censorship its usually in response to ideas themselves disconnected from individuals. In a world where its possible to ruin someone career over false claims I think there should be and are exceptions that are made. Including unsubstantiated claims of someone being a pedophile, if you call someone a pedophile you better be damn sure they are, or if found to be wrong you should be held accountable by law because its extremely damaging.

I agree he's an asshole but:

  • Petitions basically never work
  • The more attention you give him, the more views and money he gets
  • He did break the YT guidelines so if enough people report him, he could get banned.

Like I said, if all these allegations are true, being banned from YouTube is just the tip of the iceberg.  He should seriously be arrested and/or sued.

If this petition was posted on the UK government petitions website, they would have to discuss it in parliament or by minimum respond to it, provided it gets 10,000 UK signatures. Someone put up a petition to ban trump, and it was discussed in parliament. They said off the bat that they would do nothing about it but discussed it anyway.

I've heard about that rule before.  I though it happened in the US but I could be wrong, but I heard that there was once a petition to build the Death Star and because of the rule they published an official response as to why they wouldn't xD
