The z97 chipset is mainly for overclocking but the 4790 is locked and a 4790k would be more appropriate.

No ssd?

The psu is overkill. A decent 250w would already be plenty in this case.

What's the system being used for?

Good multitasking PC. Not that good for gaming but CSGO and such games will run with ease.

Build's pretty good for FSX / X Plane. Could still use a better GPU - look at that as your next upgrade. maxing out 1080p for $200, and while simulators don't use that much GPU you'll be able to install visual packs into them. FSX looks pretty bad out of the box since it's a 2008 game.

this shoud be good for gaming. today with 8gb of ram you barely have enough ram. and the 750 isnt worth it when you have a pc like this so thaths why 950 and 950 is better too. and that usb wireless dongle is not good for gaming so thats why that wifi thing.

Looks pretty imbalanced with a few areas that could have had other parts to save money.

  • You might as well have went with a Xeon since you're on a locked processor anyway
  • I'd have added an SSD. A system without one these days seems foolish
  • AMD has better price to performance cards than the 750Ti; it's an awfully weak card for the money

Other than that, it looks pretty good. Not exactly what I'd go for.
