Looking for a new mouse and i just cant find one that fits what i want. I play alot of FPS games and need a higher DPI mouse than the regular optical $12 wireless mouse. I dont see the need for like 20 buttons, i might use 2-4 at the most, and thats were my problem comes in, i simply dont need 20 buttons, just a few.

If you know of any please comment.

I recently got the new Razer Naga. The drivers/software use 100mb of memory (but I have 16GB, but resource usage might matter to others) but the mouse itself is pretty good and the buttons come in handy and are much easier to find compared to the last generation.

For a cheap mouse i bought the Razer Abyssus its great if you like small mice and your a Claw grip type person.  If your not Claw grip then probably not the best.

I use a deathadder black edition and I love it. It looks nice and simple with a good shape and not like 2938045709384758934 buttons that I'm never gonna use. Also it was designed for FPS. The black edition is optical and goes up to 3500dpi.

Budget? Optical or laser?

Personally I play shooters with an optical mouse at very low DPI. Remember, DPI is just sensitivity if I'm correct.

Under $100

The software is a bit sub par, but the Tesoro Shrike is pretty awesome.

I'm assuming you have a palm grip, in which case Verne's list is correct. I don't know whether you're already used to high DPI or whether you're just coming off the "$12 optical mice", but keep your DPI as low as you can without it becoming impractical. The higher your DPI/sensitivity, the worse your aim.

SteelSeries Sensei. That's what is used in the Intel Extreme Masters if I'm correct. Pretty epic mouse and it has a few variations - Classic, RAW and a Special Edition.

Competitively it's not the greatest. Keep in mind that a lot of people in e-sports end up using things because they're being paid to be seen to be using them.

Actually Sensei is in fact a top of the range mouse and it has the most advanced processor in it. I believe it is a Intel Pentium, correct me if I'm wrong.

PS: I do own a SteelSeries Sensei, however it is not my primary gaming mouse, because I hate glossy finishes. It gets dirty in matter of seconds. I just keep it as a backup in case my Loghitec G600 decides to randomly die on me :D

It's not an intel pentium. Steelseries' marketing guff claims it's ARM CPU is equivalent to an old 1994 intel pentium, but how true or impressive that is I don't really know. Either way, while it makes for good marketing spiel, it doesn't actually do anything to help it competitively. In fact, two of the four features it supposedly enables do precisely the opposite of what a professional gamer would want (ExactAim and ExactAccel being negative and positive acceleration respectively).

If you want laser you can check out the CM Storm Havoc possibly...: http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/peripherals/Havoc/

Its a nice mouse, with good ergonomic grip, not superb amounts of buttons, high dpi laser sensor and nice LED accents.

Or if you want to go optical you can check out the CM Storm Recon...: http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/peripherals/Recon/

The Recon is a nice ambidextrous mouse with also not crazy buttons and nice LED accents and a nice grip.
