Asus Strix 1080 4K Triple Monitors

So I am planning to use the asus strix gtx 1080 gpu to run a triple 4k monitor setup. I want to use three Asus PB287Q monitors. The problem is I need displayport to connect to all the monitors. The card only has 2 displayports and 2 hdmis and one dvi-d. How can I do it? Do I only need one displayport connection?

You should seriously consider buying a second card if you're dead set on this.
But, I can't say that I see the practicality in the setup.

triple 4k is cool but you would need at least 3 gtx 1080's and even 4 titan x's cant power them at 60 fps max settings

instead by a 1440p ultrawide

Cpu: Intel i7-5820k at 4.6 Ghz // Motherboard: Asus X99 Pro // Ram: 32gb of Crucial Balistix at 2400 Mhz // Gpu: GTX 1080 Founders Edtion // SSD: Samsung 850 evo 250gb, Samsung 950 pro 256 gb, // Cooler: Cooler Master ml240r // Case: NZXT h500i

Assuming you're considering gaming with this, then this an extremely valid point.

You would need a DisplayPort 1.2 or higher connection to each monitor, there's no way to do that with that card. Consider finding a different monitor with an HDMI 2.0 port, so you can use HDMI for one of the monitors.

Or, just consider getting a different GTX 1080 that has 3 DisplayPort outputs.

As the 1080 uses DP 1.3, wouldn't he be able to run two of the monitors off a single port with an MST hub?

The only thing is you will be sharing DP bandwidth, to run 3 monitors at their best, you'd need to attach them directly to the GPU each.
