Possible NAT issue - pfsense/opnsense no lan internet - Charter ARRIS Modem

I am trying to use pfsense or opnsense with my charter modem that does not have the option to place it in bridged mode for NAT. The LAN computers can ping/tracert sites but not use the internet browser, skype, games. It's wierd...
